MEET THE TEAM
Jamiece Adams
Jamiece Adams (she/they) is a Black queer gender expansive writer, educator, and creator. Her passion lies in imagining and creating ways that the world can be a place for folks to be cared for, seen, and valued. They received their MFA in creative writing- fiction from Columbia College Chicago in 2019. She is a Lambda Literary fellow. Their written work has been published in Rabbit: Nonfiction Poetry Journal, The Lambda Literary Anthology of Emerging LGBTQ+ Writers, Hypertext Magazine, and elsewhere. She received an award for her piece "Be Well" from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and was nominated for an Illinois Arts Council Award for her piece "The Solitude of Sleep."
Charli Andrews
Charli Andrews (she/her) is a writer and illustrator. Her work has appeared in Allium, a Journal of Poetry & Prose, where it was nominated for the 2025 Best of the Net Prize. She cofounded Screen Time, an annual showcase of independent Chicago-based short films. With an MFA in Creative Writing, she enjoys telling stories in multiple forms. Meghan Shannon
Meghan Shannon (they) is a Chicago-based queer essayist and visual artist. Combining writing with visual storytelling, their work examines grief, identity, and culture, and has appeared in Hypertext Magazine, Passages North, and elsewhere. They hold an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and currently work in the commercial film industry. Their background in writing informs their contributions to independent films as a Writer, Producer, and Assistant Director. They co-run Windy City Shorts, an independent screening series for local films in Chicago.
