WELCOME BACK TO THE KITCHEN
In some ways, this issue was easier than the first, but this year presented a different set of challenges. It’s been hard to focus on art when our government is attacking the freedoms our communities have fought so hard for. When uncertainty, and fear seem to be a growing part of our day-to-day, we had to remind ourselves of why we started this magazine in the first place.
Disco has always been a form of resistance. It has always been a place of refuge in dark times, to bring people together to express joy, love, and be with community. Disco teaches us to tell our stories and our truth.
Building this issue week by week has been so rewarding. We appreciate each submission for trusting us to care for their words. Thank you to our contributors for making Disco Kitchen possible.
